Format of Play

Each team must pay $36 per night green fees (Inc of GST). The team payment can be collected by the team organiser/leader (or another team member) and paid to the games coordinator on arrival at the club each week.

The club will provide ‘nibbles’ at the Bar during each night of the tournament. Additionally, the club will put on a free sausage sizzle prior to the start of the FINAL Match on 1 June 2018.

Don’t know how to Bowl?

All players will be provided with modern coloured bowls. RBC volunteers will be on hand throughout the tournament to show you how to deliver the bowl and give advice and tips. Remember, none of the other bowlers have had much experience with lawn bowls either, so it should be a fairly even playing field. After 8 consecutive weeks of bowls you will be surprised how well you can play. You may even wish to continue bowling with RBC and play Twilight/Night Bowls every Thursday Night at 7:30pm.

Participant Registration

All participants MUST complete an Individual Registration Form and pay a $10 Registration/Membership fee (for insurance purposes) prior to commencement of the tournament. This fee is for all of 2018 and will be valid for all Jack Attack Seasons you may wish to register for at RBC during 2018. Three seasons are currently planned. Registration Forms can be downloaded from the club’s website, All completed forms can be handed in at the club or emailed to All players must be registered and entered into the Jack Attack database prior to the tournament commencing.

Note: Registration for season 1 closes Friday 30 March 2018 or once a maximum of 16 teams have been registered. Be early – Don’t miss out.

Results & Scoring

Season 1 will run for eight weeks including a FINALS match between the two teams that accumulate the highest cumulative score throughout the preliminary rounds. Each registered player from these teams will be awarded a trophy/medallion as tournament ‘Winner’ or ‘Runner-up’.

The name of the winning team will also be engraved on a Perpetual Trophy donated by 'The Capricornian’.

This is a barefoot bowling program specifically for non-bowlers. Any bowlers who are members of a bowls club registered as an affiliate of Bowls Australia, are ineligible for this bowls program.

Players can participate in consecutive order (one bowl at a time) or they can bowl out of turn if they prefer, e.g. last end winner goes first.

Jack maybe placed anywhere the team wants but must be a minimum of 21 metres from the mat.

All players remain at the mat end to ensure the social atmosphere of the group is maintained, i.e. no skips.

Each team gets one Power Play per set. A power play is where the score is doubled for that end. This is to be nominated before first bowl of that end is bowled.

Jack in the ditch is to be re-spotted to the “T”.

The result of each end is to be declared by a coordinator / facilitator.

The Club may play music during the game but volume is to be determined by the Coordinator having regard to our near neighbours.

Children are welcome but must be under direct parental supervision at all times.

Meals – Steak burgers ($7) and Snags on bread ($2) will be available from 6pm to 7:15pm

The bar will be open from 6pm.
